Seek Adventure: The Wapiti Wilds (Chap. 1)

The year 2023 marked the beginning of an annual extended video project aimed at capturing the adventurous moments that lead to the still photographs being shared and made available and there was no better place to launch these projects than in the wilds of Pennsylvania and where over 1,300 elk call home, thanks to reintroduction and conservation efforts.

Throughout the years of exploring the region and having countless unforgettable memories starting with witnessing a once in a lifetime bull elk, that was later recorded as the sixth largest non-typical elk scoring 455 in 2020,

the encounter with him set the hooks for the continued return trips and pursuit of more stories and memories to share.

As more sightings occurred from time in the region, another big bull showed up and was easy to spot because of a large tine that looked like an oar paddle, earning him the nickname of 'paddle bull'.

After catching a quick glimpse of him in 2022 and another fleeting sight in mid-summer 2023, the plan for the return trip during the rut was set and it was to make finding him the main focus and story for Seek Adventure: The Wapiti Wilds.
