It is amazing to think that this all-started 25+ years ago and over many miles travelled. But it was over those years and the time spent throughout the Wrangell Mountain Ranges of southcentral Alaska, the caribou trodden land of the tundra in the interior, the gator waters of the Panhandle, sailing over the vast ocean depths along the eastern Florida coast, the semi-arid lands found in the southwest and the woodland forest and marshes located throughout the Appalachian Plateau and Eastern Great Lakes that provided the spark that fueled the passion to capture and share those moments that could only be found in the wilderness around us but to also educate and teach others how to safely interact in the wild as they are in search of their own adventure.
Hey there! I'm Brandon, an adventure seeker, storyteller and photographer. I specialize in capturing wild encounters, vast views and photographing moments tied to tradition and history.

Once that spark ignited, it was only a matter of time that the lessons learned, and past experiences would eventually grow to what has become Yona Adventure Captures.
In the years since, there has been a shift that has gone beyond the photos. And while they continue to be a significant aspect, the focus has shifted to including the story behind what has been forever frozen behind a click. Whether it involves those early mornings of starting a journey at 3am after 2 hours of actual sleep, if I was lucky, to just drive hours in the dark to reach a destination by sunrise in hopes of crossing paths with what might be wandering and hidden within the thick early morning mist of the forest. Or the time researching new destinations, and what might call that region home and the chance to potentially place myself in the right place at the right time. It is all that and more.
And as time continues to go by on this journey, I cannot help but to be excited for the next unknown adventures and stories from down the road. Whether it is somewhere new entirely or a revisit back to past locations and places from before.
And while several can share that when I'm asked what my plans are or where I'm going, my initial answer is "I don't know" or "It is too soon to tell", I hope to share in this draw towards adventure with you. And beyond that, what we can all learn from taking those steps, while also being aware of our surroundings and learning from connected history past.
And keeping that all in mind, as we SEEK ADVENTURE.
